The Interplanetary Network is a vast sprawl of space-stations within the Alpha Sol System that act as one of the main population centres in the system alongside its planetary settlements, spanning a range of orbits around each of the planets and Alpha Sol itself. In the areas where established organizations and governments retain influence these Space-Stations are ordered, registered, and compliant, while many regardless operate beyond order in a chaotic mess.
Some of these stations are Government-run, serving for military-use, civilian habitation, or for imprisonment. Some are independent, often being corporate-run, but many function as entire nations or single states within space-borne polities. Some are designed for those running from the Governments or are working against them, some are bases of criminal syndicates, some are abandoned, and much much more.
