The Vena Cava is an internal structure of the Nislandian Range Superorganism accessible in Lesser Gastric Sea via an elevator near one of the walking paths maintained by Anodyne. The Vena Cava itself is a bloodvessel[1] that leads to the superorganism's right atrium, which houses the Remote Contingency Station.
The Vena Cava was blocked during Incident-212-ND, an event in which Nadia Szylagyi broke the vault door in the Iliac Deadzone that connects the Vena Cava and Aorta. This caused the Mystery Flesh Pit to start waking up and sending blood into the Vena Cava. The vault door was dislodged from the Vena Cava eventually.
