"Asteros" is a Conceptual Entity and False Deity worsipped by the Quinary Church as its primary deity. Asteros allegedly interacts with its followers by aiding in their "assimilation into the pentadimension", freeing their souls from constraints. Asteros claims to be the one true god of all lifeforms, this belief is perpetrated by the Quinarists, who loyally follow its each command and decree.

Description
"Asteros" is a large, aggressive, and violent metastasized memetic complex[1] originating from a fifth-dimensional reality known as the "Pentadimension" by its followers, which seemingly partially intersects our reality. Asteros is sapient, intelligent and strategic, infecting peoples minds within our reality in which persons do not have natural defences to a memetic complex of its scale leading to the human mind interpreting it as a religious deity. Due to its sapience, Asteros' intentions when it comes to this goal are unknown, while it theoretically COULD have good intentions, its mere presence has and will cause catastrophic damage to the collective consciousness and sentience within this reality, or any other reality it intersects in the future.
Humanity and other sentient beings of this reality are not capable of comprehending Asteros upon infection, allowing it to completely overwrite their consciousness[2], using them to spread itself via calculated and tactical means. Asteros is not fully in our reality though, thus any attempt to fully enter it is to be prevented as to avoid any attempt to totally subsume the Noosphere into itself. If any being learns of its existence without being infected by it, it will terminate these individuals as a threat towards its goals of assimilation. This is likely a defence mechanism.
Cult
All members of the Quinary Church are either influenced by Asteros, or have had their consciousness completely overwritten by it, erasing the victim's free will. There are currently 2 known instances of Asteros assimilating groups of beings, these being the members of the Quinary Church and the extrasolar civilisation "Astragenia".
