The Quinary Church is a collective of several religious organizations each sharing similar esoteric apocalyptist beliefs. Investigations into the Quinary Church and its functions have not yielded many usable results, as no extensive records of practices, doctrines or even a member count have been recovered. Despite the failed investigations, a short watchlist of known Quinary Church members is held by the SDS Foundation. The term "Quinary Church" is not used every Quinarist Organization, though it is the most common one. Other variations include the word "Church" often being substituted with "Collective", "Cult", or some generic corporate name or religious name.
Organization
The Quinary Church is not a unitary worldwide cult, instead it acts more like an infectious thought pattern that takes the form of a religion. Because of this, most actual details about the religion are difficult to understand to non-adherents. One example of Quinarism achieving this is their hatred of individuality. Despite this inherent disorganization, The Quinary Church have proven to be capable of extensive coordination in their operations to a unnatural degree, often causing feelings of unease to those they interact with.
Beliefs
Quinarist Beliefs are fairly consistent despite the lack of a centralised belief system. These Beliefs typically include patterns, extrasolar/dimensional signals, magic, and an infatuation with the number five. All of these topics are further warped into a general will to transcend reality as we know it, accepting and celebrating a more esoteric form of thinking, with the eventual goal of 'breaching the barrier between the real and unreal'. Their definition of the 'unreal' is some other form of reality known as the "Pentadimension", the nature of this reality is unknown. Additional to these more esoteric parts of their organization, they hold some more traditional religious beliefs, such as some kind of deity called "Asteros", though no written information about this deity has been discovered.
Quinarism is not limited to Alpha Sol, as several extra-terrestrial civilisations have also been effected by the Quinarist Thought Pattern. The most notable of these was "Astragenia", a multi-system civilisation located in the mid rim.
