The Stargazer's Church is a religious organization within Accord Space that adheres to the Hyacinthan Faith, a religion found throughout the Milky Way in various societies notable for beliefs such as aiding a deity known as Rakhou-cosm in multiversal protection efforts via bloodletting rituals (known as 'Aimacos'), and that the current structure of reality is the successor of a former destroyed one. Following the progression of the SDS-UOI Conflict the Stargazers have largely begun operating within the public view, aligning itself with the United Occult Initiative as one of its most powerful members with many of its adherents being proficient in various kinds of magical acts such as theurgy as well as utilising highly advanced technologies imported from other civilisations. Stargazers typically devote themselves towards preforming aimacos rituals, proselytizing to spread their faith, learning more about their faith, and defending those that cannot defend themselves.

While not being the sole Hyacinthan group to exist within the Accord, it is by far the largest and most noteworthy to the point of even having representation in the Hyacinthan Communion of the Milky Way.

Devotion

Unlike most other religious groups, the Stargazers do not hold a central canon for their beliefs as they believe that they lack full knowledge on reality, which they attempt to rectify by fostering a highly capable scholastic program tasked with expanding their knowledge base.

Behaviour and Beliefs

The Stargazers are largely pacifistic towards those unrelated to the Daemocosm, operating on an interplanetary scale with countless Accord worlds being home to notable churches, with the largest being located in Montreal, Catania. Beings native to regions beyond the Yatan-Theian Accord are not uncommon among the ranks of the Stargazers, especially from civilisations such as the Terzan-2 Coalition, though notably the Stargazers had no contact with extraterrestrial groups between 267-318 due to Humanity not yet being an interstellar civilisation to a significant degree, greatly expanding their member count following first contact. The Stargazers' doctrine stems from following morals derived from their deity, encouraging its members to think strategically, display kindness, remain curious, and show strength. These tenets are largely attributed to their pacifistic nature, avoiding conflict unless there is no alternative.

The Stargazer's Church is one of the locations where the infusion of Human and extraterrestrial cultures is most visible, with their human members being much more receptive to non-human concepts than most beyond it. Prominent examples of such practices includes belief in 'bridges' that link familiar beings through the mind, greeting each other by turning to their sides, using cybernetic implants as means of communication, self-induced synesthesia, following holidays originating from extraterrestrial members, and in certain rarer cases organizing themselves into hive-like systems.

While the Stargazers are largely uniform, many fringe subsects do exist that espouse different beliefs, including the likes of worshipping additional deities both from and beyond the Hyacinthan pantheon and varyingly differing moral beliefs compared to the typical Stargazer doctrine, which has in the past been stopped via force by the executives in charge of the church.
