IRIPHOS, short for the Iraltiville Research Institute of Particles, Hadrons and other Sciences is a research facility and science park located in Iraltiville, Arcoradia. Founded as ASTER (Arcoradian and South Theian Energy Research), it was formerly the prime project of Aquilean scientists who were concurrently planning the ANTER project, now known as TERAPRO.In 472 CE IRIPHOS was 'nationalised' by the Yatan-Theian Federation and placed under the guidance of the Department of Scientific Research as a reuslt of a plea deal to avoid the consequences of its previous Pro-Commonwealth stances, though it regardless maintained much of its autonomy.
