The City State of Infinitopolis, also known as the 'City State' or the 'Infinitopolis Government', is a sovereign parliamentary republic located in Infinitopolis, a liminal space part of the Backrooms System. They were initially established in 307 to act as a more representative and independent government for the Human population of the city, whom organized it as a force capable of defending morals and keeping their lives safe and normal. Following its establishment, it has proven to be a much more effective and popular governing body for the city when compared to its previous SDSB administration, allowing it to fund various services such as the 'Infinity College'.
History
Declaration of Sovereignty
In the year of 307 a meeting of the citizens of Infinitopolis was called, with the aim of creating a independent government for the city separate from informal SDSB rule. This meeting area became known as The Council, which agreed in favour of this idea, declaring the City State of Infinitopolis as the Backrooms' first sovereign nation state.
First Election
In early 311, the first election was called and several voting booths were set up around the city centre area. The turnout of the total population of the city was roughly 80%, concluding in a victory for Arthur J. Valentine of the Liberal-Progressive Party, whom was sworn in as the first Premier of the City State.

Sovereignty Conference
In 347 The City State hosted the Sovereignty Conference between several Anti-SDSB groups, leading to the establishment of the Sovereign Backrooms Coalition.
Flag Reform
During the City State's 50 Years of Sovereignty Celebrations in 357 the flag was changed to its modern iteration.
UOI-CityState Meeting
In 369 an expedition by the UOI's extradimensional taskforce managed to encounter the City State, in which both of them held a fairly friendly meeting and agreed to cooperate in the future.
