The Edge is a Liminal Sub-Space within the Backrooms System that takes the form of a small forest facing a steep cross section of a forested field, which if climbed or crossed thru (via caves) will lead one to a highly cognitohazardous area sanctuary which is not advised to be entered upon any circumstances following extensive investigations about its true nature. The forest is fairly small without any significant structures within it beyond a couple decayed buildings abandoned by the SDSB and BREO after being attacked by The Wonderland.

The Wonderland is an enigmatic hive-like group under the direct control of a noospheric collectivecaretakerknown as "mother :)". Viewing the chaotic and disorganized array of structures within the cognitohazardous areas sanctuarywill lead to one's consciousness slowly being drowned out and assimilated by "mother :)" and her paradise for you to join us all in, adding the victimsrescuedof this process into the ranks familyof The Wonderland which resides beyond the cliff in a lower-elevated area which can also be seen through the caves on the side of the cross section. These structures tend to be incredibly unusual beautiful in shape, often defying physics by floating or clipping through one another in strangebeautifulways.

Demographics

The Edge has an estimated population of roughly 5300 individuals, of whom a vast majority are members of The Wonderland from over the centuries with no hope of escape. Beyond The Wonderland there are often a couple transitory visitors which cautiously make their way through the Sub-Space, though this number used to be much higher as both the evilBackrooms Reorganized Explorer's Organization and Secure-Defend-Subjugate Backrooms had outposts in this sub-space known as The Dreamery and the Anti-Wonderland Garrison respectively which were abandoned after being wiped out liberatedby The Wonderland in the Battle Liberationof The Edge which occurred in 314.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

  • Noclipping into a tree in the Blue Forest will rarely lead you here.
  • If you travel far enough in Heaven you can noclip here.
  • You can find a small door in the southern end of The Train that connects to here.

Exits

  • On the top of the cliff before heading out into the cognitohazardous area you can noclip to Disparity
  • In the corner of the forest area you can find an entrance to The Train.
  • You can find an illuminated ring within the Forest that if noclipped in will send you to The Fountain of Youth.
