The Hotel Backrooms is a Liminal Sub-Space within the Backrooms System that takes the form of a large hotel complex situated in a coniferous forest, acting as a haven for travellers thanks to its replenishing resources, safety, and large number of hotel rooms (of which many act as apartments). The Hotel has 10 floors of hotel rooms, a large basement, elevators, stairs, two outside plazas, a lobby with reception and a cafe, a rooftop bar, and a large restaurant which is resupplied daily by entities known as "Suppliers", whom are largely non-hostile.

Demographics

Thanks to its various present services and commodities Hotel Backrooms has gained traction as one of the most sought out locations to move to in the Backrooms, housing a population of approximately 630-700 permanent inhabitants and transitory visitors at any given time as of 439. The entire sub-space is under the control of the Secure-Defend-Subjugate Backrooms group, which has maintained most of the services present within the hotel in order to give its residents a fairly comfortable life here.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

  • You can find a hotel in Infinitopolis which has a room that if noclipped in will send you here.
  • Noclipping into a ceiling light above a puddle in the Neverending Concrete will send you here.
  • If you successfully navigate your way through the "Hospitality" area of The Cruise you can find a one-way elevator that leads here.
  • If you follow a series of lights in the forest of The Fountain of Youth you will eventually find an area in which noclipping will send you here.

Exits

  • If you walk far enough in the forest away from the main plaza you can find a door on a tree which leads to the Apartment Void.
  • In the 'staff only' section of the first floor of the Hotel you can find a backdoor in a staircase room. If you exit via this door and walk a short distance into the forest you will be able to enter the Back Alley.
  • If you enter a room labelled 'Swimming Classes' in the staff only area you will be sent to the Hollow Iceberg.
  • If you go to the 9th door on the opposite wall towards the left on the second floor you will be sent to Infinitopolis.
  • If you enter the 4th hotel room on the opposite wall towards the right on the 4th floor you will be sent to the Neverending Staircase.
  • Noclipping in one of the showers in the hotel rooms sends you to the Swimming Pool.
