The Borderzone is a Enigmatic Sub-Space within the Backrooms System that takes the form of a infinitely long magenta-coloured hallway. The Borderzone is largely devoid of any resources, requiring everything to be imported via the SDSB's outpost at the point of entry in the Sub-Space designed to both counter the flow of Insurgency forces deeper towards the Voidzone and to research the unusual phenomena present within the Sub-Space and the unusual levels connected to it. No electronic devices work within the Borderzone for still unknown reasons, only showing a incoherent meaningless static everytime they are used which also permeates through the level as a constant background noise all its inhabitants have to deal with.

Demographics

The only settlement within the Borderzone is the SDSB's 'Barrier Team' outpost intended to both research the Borderzone and prevent further Insurgency forces from going to their colony in the Voidzone. Beyond this outpost, there is a estimated population of roughly 1-5 transitory visitors within the Borderzone at any given time.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

  • You can simply noclip back through to the Corrupted Passages, which is where you enter this sub-space from.
  • You can noclip back over here from the In Between after entering it from here.

Exits

  • Going left in the top of the Errorpartment in the Corrupted Passages you can make your way down to a cave which if noclipped in will send you here.
  • If you keep going north until you find a unusual rift in the wall of the hallway will lead you to the In Between.
  • If you keep going south until you find a hole in the floor and jump into it you will be sent to the New Frontier.
