The Timeline Island is a Liminal Sub-Space within the Backrooms System that takes the form of two small islands within a vast sea surrounded by a barrier preventing further exploration. The islands are notable for seemingly shifting dimensions at random intervals, taking all those that are on them with them. Those that are within the Sub-Space during these dimensional shifts experience amnesiac and comatose effects that prevent them from experiencing or remembering anything that happens during these shifts until the islands return to the Backrooms, leading to the effects ceasing.

Demographics

Due to its unusual properties the Timeline Island has drawn the attention of the SDSB to it, whom have established the 'SB Dimensional Research Station' underneath the seafloor in a large compound which typically hosts a permanent population of 15-20 people, although it theoretically has the capacity to house 160 people within its dormitories at most. Beyond this outpost, there is a population of up to 10 transitional visitors within the Sub-Space at any given time as of 440.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

  • You can find a small 'island' in the bottom of the void found in the Gargantuans which if noclipped into will send you here.
  • You can find a missing lamp in the roof of The Lobby somewhat near Point Alpha. If you noclip into this missing lamp you will be sent here.

Exits

  • There is a pile of soil on one of the islands that if noclipped into will send you to the Apartment Void.
  • Noclipping into the roof of a small hut on one of the islands will send you to the Library of Wan Shi Tong.
  • If you noclip into the edge of the barrier you will be sent to The Lobby.
