The Fountain of Death is a Liminal Intra-Space connected to The Fountain of Youth within the Backrooms System that takes the form of a dark stone fountain with unusual properties within a blue-coloured boreal forest. The forest's trees are very similar to those found in The Fountain of Youth and The Maple Forest, however instead of being red the leaves and bark of the trees are coloured a tealish blue which emit ash-like particles into the air that can cause breathing difficulties. The fountain is similar to the fountain found in The Fountain of Youth, however instead of being white and making someone younger it is black and makes someone older. The water within the fountain is seemingly endless, and if touched will begin to age the individual at a rapidly accelerating pace while compelling them to continue bathing until they eventually die after 15 minutes of exposure, which unluckily is necessary to escape the intra-space.

Demographics

Due to its dangerous properties and lack of significant resources due to its small size, The Fountain of Death lacks a permanent population (and thus any settlements) as it only has a transitory population of roughly 0-5 visitors at any given time.

  • If you noclip through the top of the fountain in The Fountain of Youth you will be sent here.

  • Swimming to the top of the fountain and noclipping into it will send you to Dissonance.
