The Overgrown Reactor is a Liminal Sub-Space within the Backrooms System that takes the form of a large nuclear powerplant that appears to be abandoned, with various structural damages and overgrowths in the form of vines or other plants coating the building. Despite this the powerplant itself appears to have any major lingering effects of a meltdown, with the only evidence for such an event occurring being a higher than usual level of radiation within the air, though this is not sufficient enough to cause significant damage in the short-term. Surrounding the powerplant is a vast coniferous forest, which is largely devoid of notable structures or other natural features.
Demographics
Thanks to open-air forested environment the Overgrown Reactor has grown a small but notable population of 32-43 permanent inhabitants and transitory visitors, of which most originally were residents of The Cave that wished to move away from its dark and claustrophobic environment. These inhabitants haven't aligned themselves with any major group or established their own, instead residing within a group of decentralized outposts located around the powerplant.
