The Metro is a Liminal Sub-Space within the Backrooms System that takes the form of a vast maze of metro tunnels that contain networks of railways that typically lead to different sub-spaces after a long period of travel. While The Metro is typically devoid of major threats, most of the sub-space consists of unmapped dimly lit or completely dark hallways that often overhead to up to 50 degrees celsius, especially in maintenace areas. Trains occasionally go along the railways at high speeds, making them a notable risk in the case of one being hit by them if not careful, though boarding them for quicker travel is also possible.
Demographics
Due to its usefulness when it comes to navigating long distances between sub-spaces, The Metro hosts a population of roughly 2-15 transitory visitors at any given time, though despite this fairly notable population The Metro is devoid of any permanent settlements or any major group presence.
