Republic of Kangaroo Island, more commonly known as Kangaroo Island, is a micronation located in Luxuria. It is known for having Kangaroos.
History
Separation from Luxuria
During the Year 101 in Luxuria, a picture of King George (The leader of Luxuria at the time) eating pineapple pizza was leaked to the whole world. The Kangaroos of Luxuria saw the image and were disgusted, so they all swam to a small island, called Kangaroo Island and founded a country there, as they did not want to be associated with Luxuria.
Luxuria immediately took action against the Kangaroo Island, by asking other countries of the world to not recognize them. Most countries obliged to Luxuria's request, but there were a few nations that went against Luxuria's wishes. Creepyland, Nopedro, Noho and Pravda recognized Kangaroo Island as a country. But even so, Kangaroo Island was still considered apart of Luxuria to the rest of the world.
The war with Luxuria
A few years later, Kangaroo Island had gotten tired that barely anybody (Other than a few micronations and Creepyland) recognized them. They began to complain about their situation, most countries ignoring their cries. Luxuria asked Kangaroo Island to calm down, but they did not listen to Luxuria's advice. During this, a mysterious nation said that they would recognize the poor micronation, but Kangaroo Island was confused, and tried asking who they were.
After a bit of arguing with Luxuria, the discussion delved into more sensitive topics. Kangaroo Island began to accuse Luxuria of not treating Kangaroos fairly. Kangaroo Island by that point, had completely snapped, and declared war on Luxuria. Luxuria tried to negotiate with the micronation, to no avail.
The war started off very smoothly for Kangaroo Island. They were able to conquer most of Luxuria with ease. During this war, Kangaroo Island asked Melbourne (Who belonged to Lineland at the time) If they wanted to join their nation. Melbourne declined, and Kangaroo Island, a little saddened, went back to the war. Luxuria was horribly losing at this point, and not even doing anything. Lineland suggested that they actually fight back, Luxuria tried but their soldiers declined saying: "Retired rn sorry lmao".
Lineland asks Luxuria if they need help, and of course, they accepted the offer. A few nations decided to give some help to Kangaroo Island, such as North Sarpistan giving them a rocket, and the mysterious nation from before giving a Spider Doge. At that point, Luxuria had still not began to fight back. Kangaroo Island questioned them about it, but the only thing Luxuria could do is wallow in their sadness of being so weak.
Lineland began to help out, invading into the territory Kangaroo Island had captured, but it was already too late. The few attempts of stopping Kangaroo Island ended up being failures. The micronation had already completely invaded Luxuria. The leader of Kangaroo Island, Kanroo captured George and his family. Instead of killing the Luxurian Royal Family, Kanroo ended up pitying them, and gave George a small offer. The offer was to make Kangaroo Burgers illegal in Luxuria, and they would retreat and completely leave Luxuria. George agreed to it. And so, the war ended with both sides compromising. Kangaroo Burgers became illegal in Luxuria (They also decided to recognize Kangaroo Island, as a way to thank them for not killing the Royal Family), and the Kangaroos left Luxuria alone.
Aftermath
After the war, Kangaroo Island vanished in obscurity. They have not done anything else of importance. The micronation still considers itself a country, but they no longer seek recognition like they did in the past. Kangaroo Island nowadays is a safe spot for Kangaroos, as some people still hunt, or don't consider them sentient creatures with their own thoughts and feelings.
