Cotunauinia was a sovereign island country in Southeast Asia in the Maluku Islands, Sulawesi and Mindanao, as well as many other smaller islands. It was the Carotene counterpart of the neighbouring Luvuria, who they shared their only borders with.
For most of its history Cotunauinia was fairly neutral, other than its participation in the Rus Alliance after its creation from Flamingia being regenerated. Cotunauinia had occasional wars with Poavak which typically either ended in a stalemate or Cotunauinian victory. They had a tendency to shut off from the world when not participating in major global events.
Following the events of the Annihalation, Cotunauinia and Luvuria were reorganized into a single confederal entity known as the Confederacy of Cotunauinia-Luvuria.
