Description
SDS-029, formerly classified as SDS-001, is an anomalous event of unknown origin. After the apparent disproval of his first theory, Carbonado set out to identify more potential SDS-001 candidates to inform the SDS about, and during the Adriatic War, following a strange event that began in the mysterious country of Izumo, he identified an event known as "Total Annihilation." Carbonado attributes the SDS-001 classification to the entity of Izumo; the "Total Annihilation" event would thus be classified SDS-001-A.
During such an event, all people on each planet become linked with one other person. For example, on Theia, Cormac and Lazuli saw that they were connected by a long, white, wispy tentacle of energy, and this was the case for all people. Curious to investigate, two connected people approached each other but exploded violently. Carbonado noted this, comparing it to annihilation in particle physics. During the ensuing Adriatic War, Rusia discovered that this was a simple yet devastating tactic to win the war, simply by using suicide attacks by annihilating two linked people. This caused huge controversy among the co-operating allied Tritonian states, causing the short-lived Ruthenian Civil War.
