Special Defensive Safeguards

SDS-002-EX was first uncovered by a collection of groups opposed to the SDS Foundation's objectives at the time, preventing containment by publicizing their discoveries and research to the point that amnesticisation was deemed unfeasible. Later investigations by these groups have proven that SDS-002-EX is largely non-anomalous and not an active threat, therefore does not requiring containment.

Description

SDS-002-EX is a unmeasurably large subterranean superorganism belonging to the species Immanis Colosseus which arrived on Theia millions of years ago. SDS-002-EX is currently dormant state primarily located to the south of the Nislandian Range, a series of mountains in northern Osania. SDS-002-EX was discovered after the end of a incident caused by SDS-028 on Theia, in which the ground concealing one of the many mouths of the superorganism had collapsed, revealing its presence. Many internal investigations and research missions have been launched into SDS-002-EX by various groups which revealed many valuable resources have been found. While SDS-002-EX does have a higher than normal amount of anomalies occurring within it, it itself is not inherently anomalous.

Groups

Due to its importance in tourism and resource extraction, SDS-002-EX has various groups operating within it.

  • Superorganism Management Committee: A overarching administrative body intended to coordinate the 3 officially sanctioned groups operating within SDS-002-EX.
    • Anodyne: A mining company that has largely monopolized the resources and tourism operations within SDS-002-EX.
    • Gensokyo-Iujadogia-Osania Research Committee: A research association made up of Biologists, Scientists, and Botanists largely originating from Osania, Gensokyo, and Iujadogia.
    • Nislandian Range Security Department: A detachment of the Osanian National Guard responsible for defence, security, and rescue operations within and around SDS-002-EX
  • Crimson Cults: A collection of religious zealots that view SDS-002-EX as a holy site.
