The Domain of the Elder Overseers was an enigmatic region of space inhabited by the Elder Gods, a race of eldritch beings beyond the comprehension of most sapients. The known regions controlled by the Elder Overseers included regions the Sorroda System in Unknown Space, the region of space surrounded by the Xoth System in the Deep Core, and a number of other solitary systems scattered across the galaxy. Beyond these regions, the Elder Overseers (or another faction of Elder Gods) are known to also exist beyond the Milky Way, although no specific details about these worlds are known.
Structure
The Elder Overseers largely lacked any form of government structure, largely being wholly anarchic with each individual doing as they please. Informally however, the Elder Overseers had a system akin to some kind of 'Anarchic Feudalism' with the individual Overseers often venturing out of their ruled worlds and conquering them into their own fiefdoms, de facto integrating these regions into the domain.
High Priest's Fiefdom
See "The Celestial Army"
The High Priest's Fiefdom was likely the most unique realm within the Elder Overseers, taking the form of a unusually centralized state-like polity spread across Unknown Space under the watchful eye of The High Priest, himself largely being an outcast from all the other Overseers.
Nthanithor's Fiefdom
See "Taros Cluster#The Rot"
Nthanithor's Fiefdom was along the same lines as a run-of-the-mill fiefdom, taking the form of a largely anarchic collection of systems under the autocratic reign of Nthanithor, whom was among some of the oldest and most influential Elder Gods even within the deep core regions.
History
The Elder Overseers have reigned over their domain in the core of the Galaxy since the days that sapient life first documented their presence. While in the past they may have been more 'active', the Elder Overseers are largely dormant and isolationist, with only a few disparate communications such as the mysterious "Sorroda Contract" ever leaving their territories.
Several disparate stories and legends exists of the origins of the Elder Overseers, with none of them ever being confirmed. These tales tend to have similar themes such as the tale of the first Elder God, Azathoth, and his spawn making use of their intuition and imagination to forge the universe.
The High Priest's Conquests
See "The High Priest"
In 465 CE the Elder Overseers were suddenly attacked and mostly exterminated by the Wei'virs after the death of their de jure ruler known as The High Priest, leading to the Wei'virs seizing his armies and launching the act as a pre-emptive measure to prevent them from being subjugated by any Gods seeking to claim succession over the High Priest's holdings.
