The Anarchists States of Chatou, more commonly known as simply Chatou, was a small country located in the far-north of Theia in the region of Alephis. Thanks to its location in the vast and frigid Alephis Glacier, Anarchist Chatou was much poorer than most other Theian States.
Politics and Government
Following the victory of the Anarchist Party of Chatou in the final elections of the Chatou Protectorate, the government of the territory was entirely disbanded.
History
Chatou was initially formed by groups of French colonists in 392 as what was at the time named the Chatou Protectorate under a socialist government headed by Eric Dumoulin and Jean Pierre, though following a series of protests and the 393 Legislative Elections the Anarchist Party of Chatou came into power, establishing Chatou as an anarchist commune. During the initial periods of Anarchism Chatou suffered from various issues such as lack of technology and a Fatal Sneezing Disease outbreak. While the nation did begin to see some success following the acquisition of more modern technology from Arstotzka, Chatou faced a civil war in the year 400 due to the stagnation brought by the Anarchist system, leading to the establishment of the People's Republic of Chatou and Greater Republic of Nouvelle-vie.
