The Union of Accord Colonies was a federation of 8 human colony worlds that gained a sovereign status as a full member state of the Yatan-Theian Accord following the Act of Confederation being passed by the Accord's Senates, granting the Union its modern status. The Union was one of the wealthiest and most connected areas within the entirety of Accord Space due to its proximity to the Alpha Sol System and trade connections with numerous interstellar states. In 473 CE the Union held a referendum regarding a potential agreement with the Yatan-Theian Federation which would see all 8 of the Union's member-planets joining the Federation, which was successfully passed, leading to the dissolution of the Union.

The Union of Accord Colonies was composed of 8 "Authorities", which were autonomous planetary governments which together formed the Colonial Congress and Union Council, the two leading bodies of the Union. The member Authorities (in order of joining) were as follows:
Government
While in its first few decades of existence the Union was fairly authoritarian, this changed in a series of reformations in 355 which lead to the formation of a democratic government on each Member Authority, granting all of them their own head of state, the "Premier". Together all 7 of these premiers formed the Union Council which acted as the collective leadership of the entire Union. When it came to the legislative branch each Member Authority had its own "Planetary Assembly", which governed more local issues while the entire Union's unified legislature elected at the same time was the Colonial Congress. Each part of the government met at the Governance District in Hope City on Skurial, the most populated member authority mainly due to its status as the closest to the Alpha Sol System.
Demographics
A majority of the Union's population was descended from former colonists from the initial Ark-Ships that lead the settlement of planets. Thus most of the population is from the recruitment areas in Sizzle, Nilastan, Tritonia, Sipedro and Nakmai. These also are the most common languages, although Russian usually acts as a lingua franca.
