Saleuyth B is the sole planet orbiting the red-dwarf Saleuyth within the Saleuyth System, a sub-system within the Greater Sol System situated in Grid N19 of the Milky Way Galaxy. Saleuyth B is a habitable planet primarily dominated by humid and tropical climates filled with a wide variety of flora which utilise anthocyanin for photosynthesis, making much of the planet consist of various shades of purple visible throughout a majority of its surface, of which 63% is covered by water (though much of the remaining 37% consists of other kinds of wetlands like swamps). Saleuyth B, thanks to its habitable nature, is home to intelligent life in the form of the Saleines, an amphibious species native to the planet's river systems before moving inland to form more complex societies (though they never managed to industrialize prior to the arrival of Humanity).

Saleuyth B, while being known of for centuries, was first colonised by Humans in 313 CE as one of the three first Human colony-worlds (with the others being Skurial and Proxima Centauri B), thus it first was an independent colony of the Yatan-Theian Accord, then a part of the Union of Accord Colonies, then the Yatan-Theian Federation, before finally becoming a Federalized member-planet of the Yatan-Theian Accord. Saleuyth B demographically is roughly 68% Human and 32% Saleinean, as it was colonised before laws against colonising inhabited planets were established. The Human population of Saleuyth B is primarily descended from Sizzleans, Linelandics, and Yoricans, though additional ethnicities are also present.

The Democratic Republic of Saleuyth is the planet-wide governing body encompassing the entirety of Saleuyth B, functioning as a Federal Parliamentary Republic with an executive government headed by the 'President of Saleuyth', a legislative branch headed by the 'People's Parliament of Saleuyth', and a judicial branch headed by the 'Supreme Court of Saleuyth', which are all headquartered in the planetary capital of Solandai located in the far northern hemisphere where conditions are more temperate. As a federal state, the Democratic Republic mainly organizes itself in a manner so that peace is maintained between the Human majority and the Sailenean minority, with each regiona l'Prefecture' being granted significant autonomy to manage their local affairs and communities which tend to correspond to individual Saleinean and Human ethnolinguistic groups, with the most dominant being English, Chinese, Russian, and (Equatorial) Salenian, which are all taught in schools and used in government even if most are only fluent in one or two of the languages. As the only one of the 3 oldest Accord colonies with a terrestrial ecosystem, much of its profit come from the sale of agricultural products to nearby planets such as Skurial, Proxima Centauri B, and Diyibu, while the second largest economic sector is services.
