The Carbon Technocratic Republic, known simply as Carbon, was a sovereign state located in Eastern Europe. Noted for being made up of two separate exclaves, the mainland and the Volzhskiy region, it bordered Luvakhia, Mylonagrad, Turkestan, Bashkortostan, Kalmykia, Red Ruthenia, and shared a quadrapoint with Rusia.
Carbon had a fairly neutral existence for a while, co-operating with international scientific organisations until it was conquered and forcefully incorporated into The Confederacy as the Carbon Oblast of the Republic of Tritonia,
