The Islamic Republic of the Maghreb, usually known as simply "The Maghreb" is a sovereign state situated across much of North Africa. The Maghreb was formed following a union between several precursor states in the region it occupies, coming together in unity to stand as a major world player, alongside the aims of greater economic growth.
Maghreb borders Corestias and the Atlantic ocean to the west, Ellaria, Ahaggar, Aïr and Bornuvia to the south, the United Arab Republic to the east and the Mediterranean sea to the north.
Government
The Maghreb is a semi-presidential federal republic, having both a President and a Prime Minister. As of writing this the President is the former leader of Ortilia, and the Prime Minister is the former president of Jeriya, the two largest founding states of the republic. Additionally the Maghreb is a democracy, currently being ruled by Islamic Democrats.
