The Rumynskiye-Ruthenia Confederacy, better known as the Ruthenian Confederacy or simply Ruthenia, was a large confederated state in Eastern Europe, with areas stretching into the Caucasus and towards the Ural mountains. It was a confederacy of 22 republics (31 including the shared condominium of the Volzhskiy Triumvirate) that seceded from the Tritonian Confederacy in 315 CE. Portions of its land are contested by the Groys-Baltik Labour Republic and the National Insurgent Organisation of Vedaburg.
The Ruthenian Confederacy emerged at the climax of the long-standing "exodus" problem - whether Tritonia, by right of irredentism, should expand eastwards to incorporate East Tritonia into its lands. The Tritonian Confederacy, previously dominated by "pro-exodus" members, passed a resolution to form an alliance with Sizzle, which led to war with Siberia. In turn, East Tritonia defected from Siberia and joined the Confederacy following the war. Outraged, many anti-exodus protesters took to the streets, which quickly devolved into nation-wide riots. Palladia, the old capital of Tritonia, became the first to secede from the Confederacy, and within 3 weeks the entire Ruthenian Confederacy had seceded.
In 350 the Ruthenian Confederacy became a founding member of the Eurasian Confederacy, a larger nation state encompassing itself, Zapadoluvakhia, Tritonian Confederacy, Eastern Idel-Ural, Samoyed-Ugric Union and Siberia after resolving each others differences.
