The Union of East Yetia, also known as simply East Yetia, was a sovereign state formed out of the rebellious eastern baltic territories of Yetia which opposed Yetia's government, which they managed to gain independence from following a war of independence. Following the end of the war, East Yetia reorganized into what is now known as Kalevala.
History
Declaration of Independence (1.7.2019-10.7.2019)
After disagreeing with Yetia actions against Scandimar the Union of East Yetia declared independence and began operating wholly independently from the rest of Yetia. Seeking international recognition, East yetia sent support to Alex II's forces in the Sizzlean War of Succession, since Yetia was sending support against him. Fearing that this action would lead to conflict, East Yetia detained all Yetian soldiers in its country and gave them to offer to join their new military, which soome accepted. The first battles began once Yetia began sinking East Yetian ships in the baltic, leading to East Yetia forging an alliance with Yetia's enemy Red City.
Yetian Marines landed in the port of Vabalinn and began an offensive throughout East Yetia, almost advancing all the way to Helsinki before being halted thanks to supplies from Red City that allowed them to be pushed back before being defeated once more.
Red City began sending direct support via air strikes and naval bombardment, preventing Yetia from seizing Helsinki, leading to Yetia redirecting its forces north to invade from the west which was only defeated with the assistance of yet another ally, Yakamoto.
Sarpistan would soon also join in and invade south-eastern Yetia with a successful offensive.
During the war, A uprising in Scandimar by Linelandic residents calling themselves "Kingdom of Linelandic Bergen" began, which Lineland supported alongside East Yetia.
Despite Yetia pushing them back again, the additional allies and supplies East Yetia managed to gain they were once more able to advance, eventually pushing out all Yetian forces and even landing in Yetia itself, forcing it to surrender. Following its victory East Yetia reorganized itself into the Republic of Kalevala.
