Melbourne is a city located in Luxuria (a member-republic of the Confederation of Yata) located on the northern shore of the Bass Strait within the Liam Province. Melbourne alongside its southern 'sister city' in Linasburg on Tasmania used to be a part of Lineland until 108, in which they were annexed by Luxuria during the Second Melbourne Crisis after decades of tensions over who was the 'rightful' owner of the region, after which Melbourne has declined in significance.
