Biawens are a subspecies of Kanarans distinguished by their taller frame and paler skin compared to "standard" Kanarans. They are a species of Theian Natives who inhabited the savannahs of northern Ancient Kanar. Many of them were killed in the Kanar-Bejrik War and subjugated as a slave race akin to the Billadaka. Much like most Theian Natives they seeked refuge underground to survive the Theian Cataclysm, they arose from their underground caverns in the year 254 and rebuilt the ruins of their old civilisations by creating the Pau Moujhane (Biawen Monolith) around the edges of the cavern they emerged from, resembling a layered-cake looking mountain when viewed from outside. After constructing it they founded the nation of Bialwea to eventually restore the Biawen civilisation to what it once was.
