Solarya is a volcanic planet located in Unknown Space, being notable for its relatively recent formation only 700 years ago. Its star is aggressive, spewing solar flares on a near constant basis. Solarya itself is also burning hot due to its recent formation and proximity to its star, while also suffering from constant meteor impacts. All of these phenomenon together have reduced the surface of Solarya into a series of lava seas with occasional desolate landmasses.
History
Primal Epoch
Despite the hellish nature of the planet, there is still life on Solarya, as its unorthodox conditions granted the perfect conditions for Mineralian species to arise. The first of these species to be born were the Proto-Solaryans, Their lives were simple, consuming resources unleashed from the constant eruptions. The reign of the Proto-Solaryans was not long though, as more primitive species such as the Drakonnacks began prowling the islands for resources, alongside several other vicious beasts. In order to overcome the new competition, the Proto-Solaryans adapted into the Volubian-Solaryans and managed to regain the status as the most dominant species on the planet by evolving tougher armour and defences allowing them to beat back their competitors.
Warring States Epoch
As resources slowly depleted, a series of organized conflicts and skirmishes began happening between the Solaryans, whom organized themselves into clans. .
Domination Epoch
The age of warring states progressed, the clans kept trying to outmatch each other. This all changed when the High Priest arrived, he was impressed by their battle capabilities, and decided they were a perfect fit for his celestial army. He decided to approach them diplomatically, offering them wealth and resources so they may feed for millennia with no more need for strife. The Solaryans did not trust him though, as he was something none of them could even fathom. The High Priest decided to prove why he is to be obeyed, annihilating half of them in an instant, and granting the other half immesurable riches. The Solaryans instantly united, no longer needing to compete, they declared their eternal loyalty to this gracious and wrathful Elder God. The High Priest was granted permission to experiment on them in order to further improve upon them, granting them the position as the most elite infantry soldiers of the Celestial Army.
