The Ancientfolk were a collection of presumably extinct sentient species which predated both Humans and Yomtachs. Only 6 of these species have been discovered, while the rest remain a mystery for now. The most notable of the discovered species matches the description of the cryptid "Bigfoot".
The most commonly accepted theory for the dissapearence of the Ancientfolk is they were killed off by the early Humans and Yomtachs before the start of the First Human-Yomtach War. The most recent ancientfolk fossil is dated to 16127 BCE in Catania. The existence of the Ancientfolk is thought to have delayed conflict between Humans and Yomtachs as they were largely the most dominant intelligent species.
