San II, also known as San, is the de facto capital world of the Empyrium, located in its Western Reaches. It is the fourteenth-largest by population within the Empyrium, and is the most developed and well-connected. Dominated by forests, grasslands and oceans, San was proclaimed the capital of the Empyrium after the Western Reaches were reined back into the collective, and the population increased rapidly as colonists came. The planet is dominated by one primate city, Solanta. Uniquely, Solanta is one of the first locations outside of Human Space to harness digiverse technology, having procured it from Wisteria. Uniquely, the entire city has been recreated in the digiverse, which citizens enter while they are sleeping.

San is in a planetary binary with its disproportionately large moon Titusta, which both orbit the star San, which in turn orbits the much larger star Ayiamanea.
