Tarosian Pylons are crystalline structures found within the Taros Cluster that if surrounded by a high enough number of sapient beings awakens an unusual wormhole-like effect, allowing individuals to use them to translocate to other active Pylons. Despite them theoretically able to be created elsewhere, the Taros Cluster's unusual fauna and energies thanks to its creation via divine means has allowed them to be formed remarkably easily, forming a mutual bond between the crystals and the lifeforce of the cluster's inhabitants.

The High Priest's Pylons

The High Priest needed a way to swiftly transport The Celestial Army beyond traditional FTL travel, thus dispatching his clone to retrieve the Tarosian Pylons to achieve this. They initially became inert beyond their natural environments, though experimentation revealed that keeping them with imported terrain from their homeworlds in the form of rocks and dirt allowed them to still function, allowing a small group of such constructs to be made.
