Luna[1] is Yata's sole "true" natural sattelite[2]. It was the first place being Yata to be visited by Humanity, despite the lack of any permanent colonies or moon bases until modern times due to various factors. Luna orbits at a distance of 384 Thousand Kilometers, making it the closest celestial body to Yata within its planetary system.
Luna was only de facto under the control of humanity between the 120s and late 200s due to the damage it suffered by weapons testing by the YNF in the 120s, leading to Luna being unsafe to visit due to the explosions in the weapons-testing ejecting a lot of material from Luna's crust into orbit, which took over a century to all impact back onto its surface.

Devanagrad
Devanagrad is a human colony located towards Luna's south pole that is nowadays governed by the Yatan Commonwealth's Rus Cooperative, although it was first established by the Eurasian Confederacy in 377 and governed by ASSU/Lineland between the years of 397 and 441.. Devanagrad is much less cosmopolitan and economically significant compared to the other major colony of Yueqiu.
Lunar-Area-76
Lunar-Area-76 is a SDS site built onto the far side of the moon with a permanent population of a few hundred. Primarily used for the containment of anomalies that are safer to contain in and extraplanetary environment and the research of lunar anomalies.
Yueqiu
Yueqiu is the largest human colony on the moon, being governed by the Yatan Commonwealth's East Asian Cooperative. Yueqiu is home to several residential sectors, alongside a largescale spaceport to act as a trade hub for ships aiming to trade with Yata, considering the lack of needing ships capable of entering atmospheres.
Notable Landmarks
"Trent-653087" crater
This crater was created in the famous "Acolyte" incident which saw a fake asteroid containing a type 1 HAWK Craft[3] collided with the lunar surface. It is located on a point around the lunar equator with its impact site just shy of diameter of 1 kilometre. After the impact a large area of highly concentrated radiation was projected to a range of 300 kilometres around the impact site, growing stronger the closer one got to its centre. 5 days after the impact a "strange black oval ship"[4] appeared seemingly out of nowhere in lunar orbit. After issuing warnings to the other ships in orbit it moved over the impact site. After few further minutes, further instructions and activities that were covered by a cloud of black objects the ship completed its proclaimed "recovery and removal mission", clearing the crater and surrounding area of any of the asteroids debris and subsequent radiation. What remained was simply the physical changes to the lunar surface from the impact.
After the Human-Trigal conflict that followed just shortly after, a memorial was built inside the crater, commemorating all the fallen soldiers and civilians of the war. It has since served as a reminder that there are forces out in the cosmos hidden from sight which far more powerful than humanity. It and the incident that led to its creation also greatly influenced the Commonwealth of Independent Systems standing and relationship with a secret organisation.
