Ceres is a dwarf planet situated between Mars and Jupiter within the Alpha Sol System. Ceres is the largest object within the asteroid belt located in the same region as itself, although it is not massive enough to clear its orbit.

Settlement

Ceres is under the control of the Empire of Yāta, an interstellar nation which primarily inhabits the Asteroid Belt. The Empire first began constructing habitats on Ceres sometime during The Great Sleep, seeing the region as the closest unoccupied region for humanity to rebuild from the devastation of The Great Sleep within. Over the years Ceres has grown to be the Empire's second most populated object, with only Vesta having a higher population.
