Sanmor was a human who was an alternate version of Andrei Varady. His existence arose as a result of Carbonado's soul-shattering, in a universe where the SDS' abduction of Andrei did not occur as the Digiverse did not exist to begin with. As his life was never prolonged, his traumatic experiences overtook him and drove him to insanity, putting him on the path to becoming Sanmor and achieving immortality. This event was an indirect product of Sanmor's actions in the future, therefore making his existence paradoxical. It is not yet understood how this happened, making his existence potentially anomalous. He was the main orchestrating force behind the Theian Cataclysm, the Yomtach Insurgency, and the Annihilation.

The nature of Sanmor's existence gave him unique powers, including time travel and mind control. This allowed him to go back in time and seize control over the god Nihilantis, starting the Theian Cataclysm and perpetuating the events that led to his very existence. However, given that his original form still existed within the "prime" timeline, his full power was stunted. It then became his mission to eliminate his past self from existence while maintaining his own to achieve immortality. His interference in the affairs of the SDS to achieve his goals accidently led to the Annihilation, which led to him facing Andrei and eventually his death. From a contemporary point of view, the creation of "Sanmor" was a soul-shattering event that partially resolves the paradox, meaning that at the point of his annihilation, he was already immortal to begin with.
