Sapphire {782} is a Kaphisian who sits on the board of directors at the TERAPRO facility. Her untimely arrival on Yata during the Insurgency led to her becoming a member of the counter-Insurgents led by Andrei Varady and Cormac Connolly.
Originally a bodyguard - one of many - to the Kaphisian ruler Black Opal, Sapphire was forced by Amesidian to participate in a dangerous fusion experiment with her best friend Jade, in the hopes that their abilities combined would be instrumental in a planned Kaphisian colonisation of Yata, amidst the turmoil of the Insurgency that led humans to evacuate. Their fusion disintegrated catastrophically when their shuttle crashed in Nuan Krovh, which led them to join forces with Andrei, Cormac, and Anahita. Following the Insurgency, Sapphire became affiliated with TERAPRO, and survived the SDS-001 crisis that occured there. After many years working with her Kaphisian friends, she re-encountered old comrades and teamed up to prevent Carbonado, Cormac and Amesidian from succeeding in their independent attempts to unleash indescribable powers unto the universe
