Amesidian
"I shall achieve what my protégé was incapable of achieving. I'll show you order."
Amesidian is a Kaphisian scientist who is the director of the Flavros Project, and the former First Scientist of the Kaphi realm before its disintegration. Amesidian is one of the pre-eminents of Kaphi society, as is their protégé Carbonado. Heavily obsessed with the ideas of fate and prophecy, Amesidian brought word of a prophecy known as the Loom of Fate to the Kaphi'si, revealing to them that one day the commanders of the heavens would fall down to Theia, returning the powers of fate and destiny to the people. As commanded by Black Opal, Amesidian studied at the Sothro Institute to gain a deeper insight on the prophecy, but soon grew to resent it. In response to this, and to a failed attempt by Carbonado to establish suzerainty over the universe, Amesidian oversaw the Flavros Project - a millennium-long plan to "usurp fate" through a destructive superweapon.
Through her highly experimental work concerning the unstable yet controlled fusion of certain Kaphi'si beings, known as "gem fusion", she created Carbonado through two Diamonds. These experiments also led to the creation of her "fraternal twin", Samekh.
History
Amesidian was born as a pure Kaphi'si around 650 BCE, around three hundred years before the Theian Cataclysm. Her birth was and still remains the only Amesidian to have existed, meaning her existence was of great importance almost immediately. From a young age, she took a keen interest in the religion and lore of the Nine Gods of Theia, and by the age of twenty she worked as a handmaiden to the archon of Lilaci'ah, Hecate.
