Theian Natives[2] (Exovir Sapiens) are a sapient humanoid species native to Theia, consisting of several closely related subspecies that display some noticeable physiological differences such as differing skin pigments (although they tend to vary between red, pink and blue) and more minor physical traits such as horns beginning to appear in 4401-3600 BGS. Their divergences were likely caused by differing climates and geographies across Theia alongside the rapid adoption of elemental magic in their societies. Each of the eight primary sub-species (and their own subsets) are typically correspondent with the eight traditional 'nations' which existed prior to the Theian Cataclysm and continue to exist in some aspect in regards to the Theian Native Faith.
Subspecies
Aethrans
The Aethrans (Exovir Occidentis) are the native peoples of Aethra.
Deshretis (Western Baiameans)
The Deshretis (Exovir Vitaimitatores), also known as the Western Baiameans (in contrast to the insectoid East Baiameans) are the native peoples of Baiame.
Eostreans
The Eostreans (Exovir Lucemsectatores) are the native peoples of Eostre.
Genians
The Genians (Exovir Paxsaltu) are the native peoples of Gensokyo.
Iujado
The Iujado (Exovir Ignota Anthocyana), also known as Anthocyans, are the native peoples of Aquilae (and the most numerous subspecies, making up a plurality of the total Theian Native population). Similar in build to an average human, Iujado have distinct baby pink to hot pink complexions produced by the pigment anthocyanin, though this also makes Iujado skin cells highly flammable. The Iujado are the most diverse of the Native subspecies, with three additional subsets (the Carotenes, Bio-Iujado, Mutajado, and Titanian Iujado) being present among them. Bio-Iujado (Exoviro Ignota Anthocyanabiologia) are nearly identical to Ignota Anthocyana aside from sharing certain traits with The Biomass such as more malleable physical forms, while the Mutajado (Exovir Ignota Deformis) and Titanian Iujado (Exovir Ignota Titania) share even more similarities and are visibly much less humanoid, with the only difference between the two being sapience (which is only present in the Titanians).
Originally thought to be a hostile people, the Iujado (under the influence of Nihilantis,) colonised Yata during the Great Sleep, but were fought out by the awoken humans around 34 CE. Since then, the Nihilist Iujado made many attempts to recolonise the planet, which ended up in the establishment of Cotunauinia and the Iujado's redemption as a species once the Nihilist situation was resolved. They are a highly intelligent species, more so than humans, and can be found on Yata, Theia, and many other planets throughout the Accord. However, due to their vulnerability to fire, they cannot live on hotter planets such as Narakam.
Carotenes
The Carotenes (Exovir Ignota Carotenoida), also known as Cotunauinian Iujado, and archaically known as Regenerato, are an Iujado subspecies native to the nation of Cotunauinia on the planet Yata. Similar in build to average humans and Iujado, Carotenes have fiery orange complexions produced by the pigment carotene. This does not carry the same flammability as anthocyanin, the pigment in Iujado skin. Carotenes are a synthetic species - having been created from scrambled Iujado DNA.
Kanarans
The Kanarans (Exovir Daemonsicut) are the native peoples of Kanar (and the second-most numerous subspecies).
Biawens
Biawens (Exovir Daemonsicut Gandavum) are a subgroup of Kanarans distinguished by their taller frame and paler skin (still being clearly red, though a much paler tone) compared to "standard" Kanarans, primarily inhabiting the plains to the west of the Saimaa River up to where Aquilae begins. Culturally distinct from the rest of Kanar, the Biawens notably opposed the rest of their people during the Kanar-Bejrik War and remained separate from Kanar in the common era, establishing an independent 'Bialwea' known for its layered rocky structures.
Op'fuis (Lilaci'ans)
The Op'fuis (Exovir Insulae), also known as the Lila'cians, are the native peoples of Lilaci'ah.
Tritons
The Tritons (Exovir Frigidaterras) are the native peoples of Treimaria.
