Skurial is a terrestrial planet within the Beta Sol System (part of the Greater Sol System) within Grid N19 of the Milky Way Galaxy notable for being the first planet outside of the Alpha Sol System to be colonised by Humans, whom first arrived on the planet in 313 CE. Upon being settled, the 'Skurial Authority' first governed the planet as a independent colony within the Yatan-Theian Accord, later becoming the capital of the Union of Accord Colonies after the Act of Confederation, which eventually was merged into the Yatan-Theian Federation where the Planetary Union of Skurial managed the planet, which eventually regained its independent status as a federalized member-planet of the Yatan-Theian Accord after the Second Concordance. While many cities exist on Skurial, the most populous is Hope City, one of the largest Human settlements outside of the Alpha Sol System.

Skurial's environment is fairly barren, with a majority of its rocky surface being covered in stone and gravel aside from minor patches of arable soil around major bodies of water which serve as the only places where complex terrestrial life lives. While lacking a single global ocean, Skurial is home to a series of large seas composed of Ultrapure water with notable health benefits due to its high quality as long as all microorganisms are filtered out. Further inland, Skurial can be quite mountainous with several major mountain ranges extending across the planet.

The entirety of Skurial is administered by the 'Union of Skurial', a unitary parliamentary republic with an executive branch headed by the 'President of Skurial', a legislative branch headed by the 'Skurian Senate' consisting of numerous political parties, and a judicial government headed by the 'Planetary Court of Skurial', with each of these branches being headquartered in Hope City's administrative district. Skurial is divided into a number of administrative divisions known as 'Counties', though much of the planet outside of the Hope City metropolis is fairly sparsely populated with only a couple larger cities located in other parts of the planet. While initially more mixed, Skurial nowadays is fairly monolingually English-speaking despite much of its population having Sizzlean, Nakmaian, and Poavakian heritage due to where the Yatan-Theian Accord first recruited volunteers to participate in the colonisation of the planet. Economy-wise, Skurial has a welfare-focused interventionist-capitalist economy with the healthcare, robotics, scientific, and service industries proving to be the most profitable ventures on the planet, with the largest and most influential company on the planet being 'Skurial Synthworks', a robotics company regularly contracted by the Yatan-Theian Accord due to their efficiency.
