The first era was the Pre-Civilisation Eon, which took place from 23093 BCE to 12854 BCE. This period is largely shrouded in mystery, as it predated the establishment of any known organized societies beyond simplistic tribal life among the Theian Natives, who had began spreading across the planet beyond their home along the southern edge of the Gulf of Osnoa.

The second era was the Pre-Elemental Eon, which took place from 12854 BCE to 4401 BCE. After civilisation had developed and gradually advanced into more complex forms, this era became notable for its various nation-states and regional polities that often engaged in warfare and amongst one another. Such conflicts continued until the Great Wars ocurred, devastating much of Theia until the Gods seized control and established the Elemental Lands.

Such conflicts continued until the Great Wars ocurred, devastating much of Theia until the Gods seized control and established the Elemental Lands.

The third era was the Pre-Cataclysm Eon, which took place from 4401 BCE to 276 BCE. Following their ascension into power over the planet, The Eight Gods of Theia divided the planet amongst themselves into eight Elemental Lands, allowing elemental magic to rise into prominence throughout all levels of society.

Following their ascension into power over the planet, The Eight Gods of Theia divided the planet amongst themselves into eight Elemental Lands, allowing elemental magic to rise into prominence throughout all levels of society. In 601 BCE the Bejriks, a more advanced species native to Theia's Moon of Doluro, made first contact with those on the planet below the, befriending most of the elemental lands due to their at the time fairly similar structure (with the Bejrik deity Varuna becoming the ninth god). Their arrival angered Aireskoi of Kanar though, whom saw the Bejriks as intruders onto their world. This distrust eventually escalated into the Bejrik-Kanar War which began in 456 BCE, with each other land aligning themselves with the Bejrik Order against Kanar. After centuries of warfare, Kanar eventually began to lose until their capital fell in 298 BCE, with the rest of the nation soon afterwards falling in 283 BCE.

The fourth era was the Cataclysm Eon, which took place from 276 BCE to 115 CE. This era was notable for Theia becoming a rogue planet traveling a long journey towards the Alpha Sol System after Nihilantis was possessed and turned against Theia, leading to the technologically advanced Theians (In this case the Iujado) to eject the planet from its home system. This era came to a close once Theia had arrived in the Alpha Sol System, where it was captured into orbit between Yata and Mars without much consequences beyond destabilizing Narakam's orbit. Only five of the Elemental Lands (Treimaria, Candra, Lilaciah, Gensokyo, and Kanar) survived the Cataclysm, with only three continuing to practice elemental magic by the time of the Elemental Resurgence during the fifth era.

This era was a particularly dark period in Theian History that began with Nihilantis of Aquilae being possessed by Sanmor, turning him against Theia. In order to save the planet, the people of Aquilae (the Iujado) used advanced technologies to eject Theia towards the Alpha Sol System, which they had previously evaluated to be able to sustain life. Theia travelled throughout the interstellar void for many centuries, with the few functioning climate systems slowly breaking down as only subterranean life managed to survive. The fifth era was the Post-Cataclysm Eon, or the Elemental Resurgence Eon, which took place from 115 CE to 239 CE. This era is notable for vast sociopolitical changes as the Theian Natives began to move away from their traditional elemental roots towards the idea of nation-states imported from Yata, from which large numbers of Human settlers began to arrive. The usage of magic also began to increase following it being unusable during the Cataclysm Eon, though unusually it was only really usable in regions such as Treimaria, Gensokyo and Lilaci'ah. Towards the end of this era the Elemental Resurgence occurred, with the Nine Gods of Theia breing briefly resurrected, culminating in a battle against Miraak, which lead to each of their deaths except Tenno, whom survived by ridding herself of her powers.

Geography
Geographic Boundaries
Theia is divided into 3 major continents, with the various landmasses within the Jalia Ocean being classified as part of the continent of Jalia, and the Trenton River dividing Theia's mainland into the continent of Panthein in the west and the continent of Deshret in the east. Climate wise, Jalia is nearly entirely tropical, Panthein is mostly Temperate although becomes increasingly cold and frozen-over the further north you go, and Deshret spans from a colder region at its north into becoming much more arid north of its its largely tropical southern area.

Elemental Era (4329 BCE - 276 BCE)
Theia is on a smaller level divided into 40 regions largely based on ecological and geographic similarities, spanning from Sassania in the north-west to Altilai in the south-east. Regions may also occasionally be informally grouped together for practical reasons when it comes to referring to larger swaths of land smaller than a continent, with the most prominent of such definitions being 'Greater Orientalis'. Regions are a much more common way to define Theia's geographic boundaries due to how broad the three continents can be.

Most of Theia's surface is made up of countless seas, oceans, rivers, and lakes, of varying importance to the Theian populace, with the sea south of Panthein and Deshret being named the Jalia Ocean, the sea between Panthein and Deshret being named the Kairen Ocean, and the sea north of Panthein and Deshret being named the Balnaara Ocean. The longest river on Theia is the Magan River in Panthein, barely beating the somewhat shorter yet much wider Savalon River in Deshret.<gallery widths="120" heights="90">

Since around 240 CE, the power of the Archons has completely diminished, leaving Tenno as the sole survivor, albeit without her powers.
Societal Boundaries
Theia is largely divided into two major 'societal regions', with a vast majority of its population residing with 'Civilised Theia', which refers to any region on the planet under the reigns of a organized nation-state, with the most populated nation being the Theian Federation. Only a fraction of Theia's population resides within the 'Theian Outback', also known as the 'Theian Wilderness'. This area is beyond the administration of any nation-state or institution beyond occasional local governments set up within communities, therefore making the lack of government-provided support a significant difficulty in these regions as technology and societal progress arrives in such locations much slower than elsewhere. Despite their difficulties, many Outback communities still manage to thrive either by chance or by specialising into the sale of illegal products not found elsewhere.<gallery widths="120" heights="90">

The Bejriks, a technologically more advanced species native to Theia's Moon, Doluro arrived on Theia in 601 BCE and befriended most of the elemental nations. This however angered Aireskoi, archon of Kanar, whom saw the Bejrik Order as intruders to their world. This was eventually twisted by the other nations' distrust of Kanar's war-like nature and Kanar's animosity towards the Bejriks into the Bejrik-Kanar War in 456 BCE.

As the Bejrik Order had formed alliances with the other nations before the beginning of the war, leading to Kanar launching invasions into the other nations in order 'free them' from any and all Bejrik settlements and mining outposts. These conquests were extremely brutal, with high civilian casualties especially in regions such as Gensokyo and Aquilae. After several centuries of warfare, the outnumbered Kanar slowly began to lose. In 297 BCE the Kanaran capital was occupied by the Bejrik-lead coalition, the rest of the nation soon following in its complete defeat in 283 BCE.

Theian Cataclysm (276 BCE - 115 CE)
See: SDS-001-EX "Theian Cataclysm"

The Theian Catclysm was a particularly dark period in Theian history that was dominated by Theia's ejection from its orbit and subsequent temporary status as a rogue planet after the Hydro God, Nihilantis, was possessed and turned on Theia. Thus, the Hydro people (the Iujado) of Aquilae used advanced technology to eject Theia towards the Alpha Sol System, which they had previously evaluated to likely have life.
The remaining climate-systems and secure settlement during this eras were either isolated or died out until the eventual recovery of most of these bunkers once Theia arrived in Alpha Sol's orbit.

Contemporary Era (116 CE - Present)
The Contemporary Era is the unoficial term for Theia's history as a planet in the Alpha Sol System. This era was marked by great sociopolitical change, and the migration of Humans from Yata onto Theia, establishing countless settler-colonial societies such as Polsk, Osania, and the nations of the Orientalis Region. This period of human domination has over time eventually equalised into some form of balance as Native populations have rebuilt, as civilisations such as Kanar, Iujadogia and Gensokyo rose out of the rubble.

Continents
Theia is divided into 3 continent sbased off of geographic deperation. Jalia is thecontinent which makes up Theia's vast southern archipeligos with a very tropical climate. Panthein is a continent loked in the temperioture extremes of western Theia going from steppes to plains to tundras. Panthein used to be a term for the entirety of Theia which wasn't jalia but this has been recently updated to be just the western half. Deshret is the third continent located in the east of Theia which is primarily very humid and hot with deserts and jungles. Despite this they also have the very cold Nislandian Mountains.

Regions
Theia is divided into many regions. These regions have been created to differentiate where different locations of Theia are and are roughly based upon ecological boundaries. Regions are a more common form of identifying areas than Continents are due to the broad terms of the continents of Theia. The regions have occasionally undergone updates so definitions have changed somewhat overtime.

Bodies of Water
Theia is made up of many Seas, Oceans, Rivers and Lakes. Many of them them are culturally significant or have alot of population. the Savalon river has always been very important to the Q'Narvans due to it being their homeland and the Naktun being the lifeblood of the indigenous Tritons in the north of the continent. Alongside every other body of water bringing its own benefits.

"Civilised" Theia
Civilised Theia is a informal name for the regions of the planet under the control of some sort of local nation state or other government or association. A majority of Theia's population resides in such regions, but still to this day only 43.6% of Theia is under the rule of such an institution.
Theian Outback
The Theian Outback is an informal name for the roughly 56.3% of the planet located outside of any government or other institution. Only a fraction of Theia's population resides in this area, as the lack of continious government-provided support can make life out in these regions tough as technology and progress spreads into these regions much slower. Despite this, several communities exist out in the Theian Outback, thriving either by chance or by specialising into the sale of illegal products.

Theia is the sixth planet from Alpha Sol and the massive terrestrial planet in the Alpha Sol System, additionally it is the second most populated planet in the System, only being beat by Yata. Theia is roughly 26% terrestrial, with the remaining 74% consisting of varyingly sized bodies of water. Theia has seen various major chapters in its history, which are as follows;
