The Cosmological Research Institute is an extradimensional collective of researchers, travelers, and archivists capable of interdimensional travel which they utilise to document countless notable events across the Omniverse with the goal of uncovering mysteries and preserving knowledge. Though being peaceful for the most part, Cosmologists may at times fight threats to the Omniverse in order to protect the knowledge within it.
Some other objectives of theirs include the likes of; guaranteeing free access to knowledge for every individual by adopting a policy of taking any open opportunity to teach someone else something they previously did not know, treating all individuals with respect, only destroying knowledge in order to protect a greater sum of knowledge in dire circumstances, acting with precaution and care in dangerous dimensions or regions, and encouraging collaboration between C.R.I members.
While the C.R.I was founded within Timeline-039, it has since then greatly expanded across the Omniverse, allowing for countless additional individuals to join its ranks. Many of the C.R.I's members tend to originate from planets or dimensions that had gone through apocalyptic events, seeking to preserve their own knowledge and culture via the C.R.I's travels.
