The Technate of Altair is a member-state within the Yatan-Theian Accord centred on the planet of Altair-3, which has over time colonized several additional planets within its proximity which nowadays comprise the Altair Sector and New Altair Sector within the Accord. The Technate of Altair is the largest region in the Accord which doesn't have a majority Human population, instead being mostly populated by the Altairans which had developed their own spacefaring society before deciding to join the Accord as an equal member to any other, finding itself as one of its more left-leaning and authoritarian regions even if it may be in the name of collective advancement.

Government and Politics

The Technate of Altair on a largely operates as a technocratic republic where technical and scientific experts are appointed into positions of power via a number of hierarchical overseeing committees, with the highest ranking officials being granted a seat on the 'Central Committee of Altair' which acts as the Technate's legislative body alongside being responsible for electing the Head of State from among their own ranks. The various committees of the Technate's government (ranging from those responsible for local governments, regional governments planetary governments, and sector governments) are responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all of the economic affairs within their jurisdictions with optimal efficiency, arguably being fairly authoritarian in their methods.
