Antarctica, also known as 'The Fallen Continent'. is a Liminal Sub-Space within the Backrooms System that takes the form of a vast frozen over underground laboratory beneath a vast glacier-covered continent with occasional scientific outposts consisting of vast biodomes scattered across it. While the outside sections of the Limspace are incredibly hostile to live within due to its extreme cold, although most of the indoors environments such as the underground laboratory and scientific outposts tend to be much more bearable temperature-wise, allowing them to host stable settlements.

The Underground Laboratory, which greatly resembles the JADIRAD Facility found within Asophania in baseline reality, is composed of a sprawling network of tunnels, labs and corridors, is undeniably the Limspace's main feature. It is the most populated region of the level thanks to its supply of technology, food, drinks, and electricity.

History

Demographics

Antarctica has a permanent population of 721 people, with most individuals residing within the underground laboratory. This population mostly consists of Humans, although it also hosts a large population of Xenians and Mutajados.

Additionally the Limspace is largely devoid of hostile entities.
