Historical Information

Louisiana, also known as SDS-002, is a sovereign anomalous enclave (A "Free-Port") that can be found in Southern Yorica located near Baton Rouge. Unlike many other Free-Ports it is completely located in our reality, albeit several areas being subject to non-euclidean or extradimensional properties. Various anomalous phenomena have been documented in the Free-Port.

Unlike many other similar locations, Louisiana does not have a single centralized government, instead having various "psuedo-nations" laying claim to sections of the territory. Additionally to the psuedo-nations, various groups operate within the territory such as the SDS Foundation's OUTPOST-SDS002.

Services

Traversing through Louisiana may be difficult due to its architechtural topography, but there is usually atleast some way to enter most areas within the Free-Port, although this is basically always by foot.

Louisiana has very limited if any education services, with only rudamentry and flawed elementary-level education except for the "liberal arts college" in Creepyland known as the "Academy of Fanfiction"

Anomalies

Anomalous Phenomena

There are several documented anomalies present within Louisiana such as:

• Within the claimed territory of the "Creepyland" Psuedo-Nation each inhabitant has an anomalous mental defect giving them similar behaviour to an adolescent with self-diagnosed ADHD, alongside a strange infatuation with the late Luxurian dictator "Creepy", whom they have attempted to resurrect from the dead several times with no success, or chance of success. Though for a while they did manage to steal their corpse, which has since then decomposed.
• The Psuedo-Nations of Floria and Flores both exhibit several sentient animals.
• The Psuedo-Nation of Torium has an "event" at night in which it will become inexplicably darker than you would expect for it, with several man-eating arachnids also appearing across the halls of the psuedo-nation.
• The Psuedo-State of Dreams acts as an Oneirospheric Nexus, taking the form of a "bubble" of the Oneirosphere intersecting with baseline reality. It is able to affect and be affected by various Collective Unconsciousnesses, including its native "Somnium Patriae".
• A majority of the areas within Louisiana feature structures suspended in mid-air, although the technique they used to achieve this has been lost to time, and they can no longer be built because of this.
• There is a much higher level of ammonia in the atmosphere.
• Basically all inhabitants eventually if not upon entry eventually develop a alternation in thinking patterns or a full on mental illness, although the specific illness varies. One unifying mental alteration regardless of developed illness is a desire to not leave Louisiana.

All of these phenomena become inert outside of Louisiana, except for the mental illness. Any further geographic expansion of Louisiana, which has happened in the past is monitored and prevented by the SDS Foundation.

Anomalous Practitioners

Despite its generally hostile environment and phenomena, the area has become a hub for occult practitioners and L'anormal artists leading to it being some of the only places where anomalous products can be sold and bought.
