Government
Alsavaeid is a parliamentary democracy, with a elected president. The legislature, known as the Parliament is also elected by the people of the nation.
The Social Democratic Party is currently dominant in the legislature, holding a slight majority of seats.
History
Alsavaeid was founded in 254 by arab colonists, primarily from Hayah and Aparty. The colonists formed a democratic society, which initially was under the nearby Osania's protection under Alsavaeid was able to start its own military.
Alsavaeid has been fairly isolationist when it comes to diplomatic policy, other than its ties to Osania.
