The Theian Federation is a vast federal republic that spans across much of central Theia and certain other overseas regions composed of several autonomous internal Republics each with their own governments, with each of these entities typically either being previously independent states or autonomous regions of said states that decided to join into the Federation for mutual economic and political benefits. The Federation is by far the largest fully established nation in modern Theia since its arrival into the Alpha Sol System, arguably being one of the largest and richest non-interplanetary states within the entirety of the Yatan-Theian Accord.

History

The Theian Federation was established in 435 following the League of Theia's various reforms at the time such as the 'Theian Governance Charter', 'Theian Planetary Transition Program', 'Theian Economic Integration Program', and 'Theian Intergration Council' which together lead to the River Trenton Summit which outlined the ideas of the Federation and the Alsavaeid Treaty of Unity that followed it that officially established the Theian Federation between the nations of Alsavaeid, Iujadogia, the Macana Federation, Osania, Saimare, and Sousania. Towards the end of 435 the Federation had fully established its government, holding its very first elections leading to the victory of the Liberal Democratic Party of Pan-Theia to rise to power.

The creation of the Federation was quick to impact Theia, with neighbouring states to its east such as Avanarthka and Bialwea being quick to succumb to a competition between Federation and Kanarvan influence. The Federation did not leave its impact unnoticed, and was quick to act to better the world in its image via a series of diplomatic conferences to spread its influence such as the Likasville Conference that led to the nations of Ligania and Cipherna to commit to joining it and the nations of Valats and Katrelia to begin negotiations regarding their border disputes under Federation direction, concluding in both of them committing to joining the Federation after the disputes were resolved in the Catacor Conference. OOt of these new commitments Ligania was the first to join into the Federation, shortly being followed by Valats as other nations such as Al-Safran also committed into joining it. In the ensuing phases the Federation continued to expand west with the admission of Cipherna and Katrelia, while the battle for influence in the east started to clearly turn to the Federation's favour as Bialwea committed to membership.

Theian Parliament

The Theian Parliament is the official legislature of the Theian Federation, being responsible for passing laws and approving the government's actions. The Parliament was largely derived from the League of Theia, with it previously being one of the two legislating bodies of the League intended to represent Theia's populace, a role which the Parliament continues to maintain to this day thru the House of Citizens, effectively having the Federation be in control of one of the League's primary governing bodies.

Alongside the hundreds of internally elected delegates, the House of Citizens additionally houses several seats reserved for international delegates elected in their own countries to voice their opinions about Theia and its future on a planetary scale, still being granted the right to propose legislation and vote despite not being from the Federation.

Theian Court of Justice

The Theian Court of Justice is the highest judicial body within the Federation empowered to prosecute crimes such as crimes against sapients, environmental crimes, violations of international law, and other such crimes. The TCJ is tied with the League of Theia (of which it used to be a part of) which has allowed it to be an internationally recognized and powerful entity capable of enforcing its rulings for criminals across the entirety of Theia.

Theian Security Forces

The Theian Security Forces are the Theian Federation Military's land service branch responsible for collective defence, maintaining internal security, and pursuing peacekeeping/intervention operations across Yata as the League of Theia's peacekeeping forces. The TSF is notable for having countless foreign soldiers operating within it as volunteers from across the world, although these units are exclusively utilised in peacekeeping operations rather than internal situations.

Department of Economics

The Department of Economics is a department of the Federation's government responsible for overseeing its various economic ventured including internal projects, welfare, external donations such as to the Developmental Disparity Fund, Pan-Theian Social Security Net and other such programs.

Department of Healthcare

The Department of Healthcare is a department of the Federation's government responsible for overseeing the various hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare services across the Federation while also managing funds for such services and donations for other international services such as the Theian Health Taskforce.

Department of Sustainability and Innovation

The Department of Sustainability and Innovation is a department of the Federation's government responsible for organizing sustainable development and innovation both within the Federation and across Theia (for the League of Theia, of which it used to be a part of) in order to prevent the degradation of Theia's environment due to the activities of modern industries and technologies.

Department of Technology and Civil Rights

The Department of Technology and Civil Rights is a department of the Federation's government composed of technologists, ethicists, and sapient rights advocates responsible for monitoring Artificial Intelligence, Genetic Engineering, and Surveillance operations both within the Federation and internationally (for the League of Theia, of which it used to be a part of) in order to ensure each of these industries is properly respecting sapient rights and individual freedoms.
