The Blarg Republic is an interstellar civilisation located within the Alpha Quadrant of the Milky Way galaxy. The Blarg Republic is a Constitutional Dictatorial Republic under the rule of President Garral Blanar, whom ahs been the dictator of the Republic for several decades at this point. While the Blarg Republic is authoritarian, it regardless has a democratically elected legislature and various "benevolent" policies which have dampened the effects of its authoritarianism. The Blarg Republic is one of the stronger nations in its general area, being on par with the likes of The Covenant, Yelnik Hivemind, and Yatan-Theian Accord, with each of whom being the Republic's allies.
The Blarg Republic is mainly populated by the Blargs, an artificially created species engineered by the Kings several million years ago from whom their ancestors escaped and migrated to Blarra Prime, where they would eventually establish a civilisation several thousand years before The Great Sleep.

Architecture
Blarg Architecture tends to be futuristic, primarily consisting of metallic, smooth, and shiny structures. These structures are often unusually shaped, with design features such as spheres, thin towers, and large windows being common.
History
Blarg Civil War
175 Years after the end of The Great Sleep the at the time stagnant Blarg Empire was met with a crisis as a growing movement of 'xenophiles' began to grow in response to the Empire's supposedly cruel practice of moving onto inhabited worlds, terraforming them, and letting the native populace slowly die out. This crisis eventually grew to the point that the Empire in its entirety broke out into a civil war as the 'xenophile' Republican faction opposing the Monarchy's practices seized much of the south of the empire with the hopes of liberating the various subjects of the Empire such as the Beacons. Remaining loyalist forces consolidated in the north of the former Empire around the planet Nectrum, from which they began to organize a campaign against the Republicans.
This civil war would last multiple centuries, with occurrences such as the Republicans securing the west in 314 and the Monarchists launching an assault on the Republican-held Blarra Prime and its four inhabited moons. The Monarchists used this ongoing battle as an opportunity to launch a major offensive, pushing southwards against the Republic's Nel-bherra line.
Pisura27 Outbreak
During these battles the nearby Order of Ganymede launched an expedition to the planet Pisura in Blarg Space before swiftly retreating. Monarchist forces moved to recapture the planet after OoG forces abandoned it, although all contact was lost with the expedition teams. After a more thorough investigation a "primal force of blargs" was discovered on the planet, which swiftly expanded off-world. After being questioned, the OoG simply stated that it was an accidental leak of a 'classified contagion'. The populace affected by this contagion formed the 'Blarg Horde', an undead force that rapidly expanded outwards consuming planet after planet. Seeing as the infected would soon wipe both of them out, the Monarchists and Republicans agreed to an uneasy cease-fire to combat the threat via an ancient superweapon discovered in the Oueste-Glar system initially created by the Solar Empire in the distant past, which managed to knock out the Blarg Horde's power supply, stopping their advance.
While the rest of the galaxy, including the Accord and its members, began to combat the Blarg Horde once its vessels reactivated, the Blarg Republic became highly isolated due to losing its communication systems. CIS diplomatic vessels did eventually manage to reach the Republic, though it was not willing to assist in destroying the Horde. Though eventually in 322 the Republic would begin to collaborate, although insisting that no glassings or orbital bombardments should be done by non-Blarg vessels. The Blarg Republic would then join in on the joint attack against the Blarg Horde following its assimilation by The Pisungall and annexation of several neighbouring states. The Horde did not put up much of a fight, and was eventually purged out with the assistance of Thronus-Regni. As a thanks for assisting in the reclamation of its territories, the Blarg Republic would soon join the Intergalactic Defence Initiative as an observer state.
Interwar
The Blarg Republic would be wrecked with population decline and reconstruction efforts following the Pisura27 Outbreak, thus it would create the Advanced Algorythmic Reconstruction System to autonomously manage reconstruction efforts, which it proved to be remarkably good at to the point a commercial variant of it began to be exported. The Republic would soon also participate in the multiple international efforts to build up a defence against the Qu, agreeing to rebuild the superweapon they used against the Blarg Horde. While the Blargs did attempt to put up a fight, much of their territory was regardless occupied by the Qu during their invasion of the Milky Way until eventually being pushed out.
Second Blarg Civil War
In 367 the Blarg Civil War would finally start back up again after several decades of reconstruction from the ruins of the various conflicts towards the start of the century following a series of clashes on Blarra Prime. While the Kingdom initially held the upper hand and seized territories from the Republic, the members of the Yatan-Theian Accord would soon intervene on the Republic's side due to the conflict greatly disrupting its trade, launching a greatly successful counteroffensive against the Monarchists. With Accord aid, the Republicans managed to push all the way to Blarra Prime and several other key Monarchist worlds such as Nectrum and Arolla, leading to the Blarg Kingdom swiftly becoming overwhelmed and capitulating to Republican forces. Following the end of the conflict, President Garral Blanar announced the 'Blarg Reunification' and the dissolution of the Blarg Kingdom as well as the AARS Territory, whose AI was integrated as a key government member.
Post-Reunification
In 378 the Blarg Republic began to fully engage with galactic politics with its new position of influence, annexing the Naralgic Republic and establishing trade routes. The Blarg Republic would soon afterwards intervene in the Fourth Twelve-Suns War / Federation Civil War on the side of the Galactic Community, launching an invasion of the Thodis Compact. Once the Omniphanes Society seized power in the region however the Blarg advance would stall, especially after the exit of the Yelniks, Accord, and United Rim. The Blarg Republic would soon also sign peace with the Thodis Compact, leaving the war.
In 404 the Blarg Republic intervened in The Covenant's invasion of the Yelnik Hivemind, managing to force The Covenant into a stalemate after being pushed back some distance. After the Covenant began to face internal strife from the conflict dragging on for several years, the Blarg Republic and its allies eventually subdued The Covenant in 409.
In 412 the Blarg Republic joined in on the Galactic-Cosmic War, launching an invasion of the south of the Great Cosmic Commonwealth with the aid of its allies.
