Level 48 is a series of pylons and towers in a ocean of liquid metal, The exact metal the ocean is is still unknown. Entering the ocean is lethal, Despite that fishlers and elder fishlers inhabit it and attack if you get too close to it. Dissolvans occasionally inhabit the pipes within the pylons, and may be a threat. The pylons all have a liquim powered generator in them, and instant communication to [[level 12]] and [[Level 41|41]].The level is very stormy, so exiting the pylons is not recommended as it rains the liquid metal which due to its heat and weight is deadly.

The Pylons is a Liminal Sub-Space within the Backrooms System that takes the form of a series of pylons and towers situated in a vast sea of an unidentified liquid metal notable for its conductive properties. Once you arrive here you will appear inside one of the pylons, which act as safe locations unlike the sea which is hot and heavy, making it a fairly likely cause of death. The pylons internally consist of a couple control rooms, various internal mechanisms, and a Liquim powered generator. Other unusual phenomena include surprisingly easy communication with the Portal Matrix and The Facility, suggesting that the 3 levels are linked with one another.

Demographics

Due the difficulty when it comes to accessing this sub-space, the lack of safe areas, and difficulty when it comes to navigation the Pylons lacks a permanent population, instead only having a population of 0-10 transitory visitors at any given time, whom mainly arrive to harvest the liquid metal found here known for its conductive properties that make it useful in various machines.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

  • Going forwards, right, right, and then noclipping into the wall in the Crimson Tunnels will send you here.
  • You can find a ladder in the Portal Matrix that leads here.

Exits

  • One of the towers has a trap door to the Fractured Sea.
  • If you noclip in the north-easternmost pylon's top floor you will be sent to the Swimming Pool.
  • An exit to The Lighthouses supposedly exists, although its exact location is unknown.
