The Fourth Commonwealth of Yetia failed to mend the relations between its internal factions following the Second Xindao War, leading to a largecale uprising as the Fourth Republic of North Italy, Free Republic of Vedaburg, People's Republic of Alinya, and Republic of Vandam all rose up in rebellion against the government. The Yetian military quickly moved to crush the secessionists, whom had formed a loose alliance between one another. The Republic of Vandam soon managed to secure an alliance with Waclaw, who joined the war against Yetia for a brief time before being forced to sign an armistice. Vandam was the first of the separatists to fall as it was the only isolated one, though yet another uprising would occur as the Balkan Free State was formed, but this did not stop Yetia's continued advance into rebel territory.
Suddenly, aa large portion of Yetia's population and thousands of Yetian immigrants elsewhere began to simultaneously experience intense headaches and tinnitus while mumbling about 'core signals', causing enough panic and concern among the public that the secessionist states all capitulated. Yetians in Sipedro were hospitalized and questioned when these effects began to happen there as well, though neither they nor Yetia were able to find the cause behind this ailment. The NLE claimed this was because of mind control, which freaked Yetia out.
