Proclamation of the Luxurian Empire

As the year 69 began, surprising news emerged out of Luxuria as their king Peppa Pig George announced the birth of his son, George George... And soon afterwards also officially crowned himself as the emperor of Luxuria, reorganizing the nation into the Luxurian Empire. Changes were quick to come under this new regime, with conscription being introduced for all men between the ages of 18 and 50 as Luxuria rescinded its neutrality, expanding its colony in south-west Africa and industrializing the area to procure weapons of war.

The rest of the world was quick to take notice, with Sizzle, Poavak, Spisos, Abard all requesting an alliance with Luxuria, with the former three's offers being accepted, with some additional negotiation being made with Abard due to its previous 'racism' against Luxuria. This situation terrified Lineland, whom quickly breaks many of the agreements it made in the Treaty of Linasburg after World War 2 by remilitarizing and setting up defences along the borders of its territory in Melbourne. Hongerswak would go down a similar route, interpreting the situation as a threat to its independence. Luxuria itself would seek alliances, offering one to the Alicorn Kingdom, which they declined.

This geopolitical shift lead to resurgent Pro-'Axis' governments arising in both Abard and Poavak, while Lineland managed to retain its post-war government that was allied with Yetia and Sizzle. Sizzle would soon break its alliance with Luxuria, opposing the Luxurian-Spinese War which followed the proclamation.
